Singer-songwriter Calum Baird will be playing a benefit for Palestine on Friday August 2nd in Stand 3, York Place, Edinburgh (details here), and that is just the beginning of a run of events Calum is part of in the capital city this summer.
'After that', he tells, us 'I’m playing a solo show in Fopp Record Store in Edinburgh on Saturday the 10th at 2pm before playing at Music in the Community that evening at 7pm. I’ll be sharing the bill with Calum Busby for the evening show'.
He is also playing a run of shows at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe from August 11th-21st (not 16th & 17th) in Carbon 3, 208 Cowgate, 21:45pm. 'My show is called Calum Baird: Folkin’ Around, and I’ll be playing my own songs as well as telling some stories about my songs, times out on tour and other observations. I will be performing solo but will also have some special guests performing as well. The guess confirmed are:
12th – Calum Busby (musician)
14th – Rosa Moxham (poet)
15th – Che Burnley (comedian)
20th – Elsie MacDonald (musician)
'I’ll also, be joined by Attila the Stockbroker throughout this run and I am arranging other guest appearances, too! These shows are Free Fringe performances, meaning entry is free! (full details here).
'As if that's not enough Fringe action for me, I’ll be playing guitar for the aforementioned Attila the Stockbroker during his early music shows in St Cecilia’s Hall on August 9th and 16th, (2pm kick off there)'.
