The Israeli state's decision to restart the war on Gaza must be opposed. The actions on December 1st make peace all the more difficult. October's violence in Israel and now that restarting in Gaza targeting ordinary people is horrific. It breaches international law and makes the creation of a just and lasting peace for all in Israel and Palestine much harder. A ceasefire, de-escalation and a humanitarian response should be the key issues that we unite behind. We call on all our politicians to support this now. In addition to condemning these violent actions Democratic Left Scotland continues to advocate for a just and lasting peace and the right to self determination of the Palestinian people.
